Central Bank organizes workshop on compliance of banks

The Scrutiny of Banks department at the Central Bank of Yemen launched in its premises on Monday a ten-day workshop for compliance officers at the local banks.
The workshop in today's session discussed compliance in terms of how to prepare capital adequacy reports according to the central bank's instructions, the statements that banks must provide to the central bank on a daily basis and the exchange rate of currencies.
In his opening remarks, the Governor of the central bank Mohammed Zemmam stressed the importance of the workshop as it aims at providing knowledge about the functions of compliance.
He said the central bank will sponsor training courses outside the country for most of the compliance officers at the local banks.
