Deputy Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Sadiq Al-Ghannami, reopened the Safe Childhood Center in the temporary capital Aden on Sunday after it had been rehabilitated and equipped by a local NGO, al-Nahda, with support from the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.
Al-Ghannami stressed the keenness of the ministry to support projects of productive families, childhood and motherhood.
The UNHCR representative Muammar Alwan said the UNHCR supports rapid intervention projects for children and mothers and meeting the basic needs of these two subsets of the society in light of the humanitarian crisis plaguing Yemen.
