Prime Minister MaeenAbdulmalik said on Wednesday that his government derives its power from the people, and is eager to carry out real administrative reforms and fight corruption.

In a press conference held in the Container Terminal of the temporary capital Aden on Wednesday, the prime minister appreciated the grant of seaport cranes from Saudi Arabia through the Saudi Fund for Development which will help in increasing the imports of relief aid and commercial goods shipments to Yemen.

He said that Yemen is struggling with economic problems "but with the support of the brotherly Kingdom (of Saudi Arabia) led by King Salman bin Abdul Aziz and the brotherly United Arab Emirates, we will be able to overcome all difficulties."
He said that there will be "programs for reconstruction" and other support projects that will allowfor the restoration of the conducive environment for investments to start flourishing again in Yemen, including local investments.

He highly appreciated the Saudi and Emirati economic and humanitarian support that took the forms of financial deposits in billions of dollars in the central bank and humanitarian aid which, across wide parts of Yemen, helpedalleviate the impact of the crisisthat the Houthi militia's years long war has left.

He stressed the importance of achieving the confidence-building measures, part of the ongoing peace talks between the government and Houthi rebels in Sweden now.

The measures include an exchange of prisoners who include civilian abductees in the custody of the militia.
