Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulmalik al-Mikhlafi has confirmed that the International Community has become convinced that there is no partner for the government of Yemen for peace as there is no political party to negotiate with.
In a televised show to Sky News Arabia aired on Monday, al-Mikhlafi added that the military operations aims at beating Iran-backed Houthi militia, noting that the military campaign is in line with popular anger after all Yemeni factions joined the legitimized government including the General People Conference party, the faction of former President Saleh.
" The People Conference party has been subjected exemplary punishments denounced by the government and has demanded the international community to denounce them and the arrest and storming houses and bombing them are still going on," said al-Mikhlafi.
He further said that the government is working on gathering up the GPC, clarifying that President Hadi met with a number of the party's leaders to discuss them the way of bringing the party together, noting that the government opened the liberated areas for receiving leaderships, members and supporters of the conference party.
He pointed to efforts exerted for assembling all national powers in a grand alliance includes factions participated in the National Dialogue Conference for facing the rebel militia and beating them for keeping internal balance between political forces. He showed government's keenness on protectiona party ruled the country for 33 years.
He called upon the international community to direct a clear message to the rebel militia to stop violations, kidnapping, continuous assassinations and handing over weapons.
