Yemen’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates has strongly condemned the Israeli prime minister’s unauthorized entry into the Mount Al-Sheikh area of Syria, calling it a blatant violation of Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and a provocative escalation that threatens regional security and stability.
In a statement, the ministry reaffirmed Yemen’s categorical rejection of the aggressive practices and continued violations of Syrian territory by Israeli occupation forces, stressing that their continued occupation of parts of Syrian territory, along with military movements and unilateral measures, constitutes a flagrant violation of international law and relevant international resolutions and undermines obligations under the 1974 Disengagement of Forces Agreement.
The ministry reiterated Yemen’s firm support for Syria and the Syrian people’s right to preserve their sovereignty, unity, independence and territorial integrity and to build a future that safeguards their security and stability and meets their aspirations.
