CMV emphasizes capacity building for HR abuse investigation committee

The Coalition for Monitoring Human Rights Violations (CMV) has emphasized the importance of continuing capacity building assistance for the National Committee for Investigating Alleged Human Rights Abuses (CIAA).
In a speech delivered before the HRC in Geneva on Thursday, CMV's member Liza Al-Badawistressed the importance of trying all local means for securing justice before referring the abuses to international authorities.
She called on the OHCHR to harness its efforts for the return of Yemen's adjudication panels to operation so that the local justice is tried.
The CMV called for pressuring on the conflict parties mainly the Saleh-Houthi militias to cooperate with CIAA to finish investigating into the alleged abuses.
