FM calls on int'l community to press the militias into peace

Foreign Minister Abdul-Malik al-Mekhalfi has called on the international community to exercise pressure on the Saleh-Houthi coup militias to accept peace.

Addressing the meeting of the Council of Arab League Foreign Ministers in Cairo today, al-Mekhalfi presented an overview on the government's attitudes and efforts to end the people's suffering; the concessions it offered in peace talks and its reactions to the UN Special Envoy IsmaiilOuldCheikh Ahmed's proposals.

-Mekhalfi called on the international community to support the humanitarian and health efforts in Yemen so as to address the issues caused by the Saleh-Houthi alliance's coup d'état.
