The Kuwaiti Fund for Arab Economic Development signed Thursday a Grant Agreement with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) worth $1.2 million to contribute to the rehabilitation and maintenance of homes for displaced persons in Yemen.

PM, al-Mahrah Governor discuss preparations for investment conference

Prime Minister Ahmed Obeid bin Daghar on Thursday discussed with al-Mahrah Governor ongoing preparations for the first investment conference in al-Mahrah which is scheduled to be held in the middle of October.
The premier heard a detailed explanation about the results of the underway preparations for the conference and guarantees of its success.
He stressed that the government pays special attention to al-Mahrah, pointing out that the conference will come up with fruitful results for the governorate.
"This conference aims to create new investment opportunities which rise to the level of promoting the building of the federal Yemen in accordance with the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference," he added.
The governor expressed gratitude over the special attention paid by the political leadership represented by President Abdu Rabbu Mansour Haid, Vice President Ali Muhsin Saleh and Prime Minister Ahmed Obeid bin-Daghar.
