The Kuwaiti Fund for Arab Economic Development signed Thursday a Grant Agreement with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) worth $1.2 million to contribute to the rehabilitation and maintenance of homes for displaced persons in Yemen.

Minister of Water and Environment EzziShuraim inspected on Sunday relief activities achieved by the Yemeni-Kuwaiti Relief Authority across the country.
In his meeting with Director of the Authority Shawqi Mahfouz, Shuraim was briefed on the new plan the authority is implementing currently and on the future. It intends to carry out a number of activities and projects in water sector.
Minister Shuraim emphasized on setting up plans, preparations and equipment required for inaugurating vital projects fulfilling people's basic needs, noting that they will commence in Dhale' and Abyan.
The Authority has activities in field of water as included in its three-phase matrix and includes 90 percent of Yemen.
The minister praised great efforts of the authority and urged on coordination and communication with the ministry via the ministry's unit of emergency and donor interventions.
