Israeli occupation forces have arrested 130 Palestinian women and girls from the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem since the beginning of 2026, according to the Palestine Center for Prisoner Studies.
In a statement, the center said Israeli authorities continue to target Palestinian women through arrests, abuse and field interrogations, amid harsh conditions faced by female prisoners in Israeli jails.
It said arrests of Palestinian women have risen sharply since October 7, 2023, reaching around 800 cases.
The center noted that the figure does not include women detained from the Gaza Strip, as the actual number remains unknown amid the continued practice of enforced disappearance.
It added that Israel's periodic release of one or more female detainees from Gaza indicates that other women from the Strip remain in detention without their identities being disclosed.
