ADEN - SABA
The Council of Ministers approved practical measures to boost the preparedness of state institutions, turn the general mobilization into practical programs, directly and regularly follow up on the implementation of these measures.
The Cabinet devoted its session today, Thursday, in the temporary capital Aden, chaired by Prime Minister Dr. Shaya Zindani to put the decision of the general mobilization in place.
The cabinet affirmed that declaring general mobilization marks a transition to a new phase that requires state institutions to double their efforts, mobilize national capabilities and resources, and strengthen institutional, military, security, economic and humanitarian preparedness, enabling the state to deliver on its obligations in protecting citizens, safeguarding its assets, restoring its institutions and asserting its authority over the entire national territory.
The Cabinet discussed the economic, financial and service measures needed to keep markets stable, secure essential goods, ensure salaries and the state's essential commitments are paid on time, and strengthen the preparedness of health and service sectors, along with urgent steps to address the electricity situation, in a way that eases the impact of the crisis on citizens and vital institutions.
The Cabinet highly praised what was included in the annual royal address by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, emphasizing the Kingdom’s support for the Yemeni government, backing it in extending its authority across the country, restoring stability and confronting the attacks of the Houthi militias.
The Council of Ministers also deeply appreciated the ongoing economic support from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, most recently the deposit of the third installment of support for the state budget amounting to 60 million US dollars at the Central Bank of Yemen.
It asserted that this support comes at a very difficult time and helps the government fulfill its essential obligations and maintain the proper functioning of its institutions and services.
