The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates welcomed the decisions by the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the Kingdom of Belgium, and the Republic of Ireland to prohibit the import, purchase, and sale of products originating from Israeli settlements.
In a statement received by (Saba), the ministry affirmed that these measures represent a responsible position that contributes to confronting illegal settlement activities and demonstrates a practical commitment to implementing international law and the resolutions of international legitimacy, foremost among them United Nations Security Council Resolution 2334, which affirms the illegality of the Israeli occupation and its legal consequences.
The ministry reiterated the Republic of Yemen's steadfast support for the rights of the Palestinian people, foremost among them the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with the Arab Peace Initiative and relevant international legitimacy resolutions.
