France strongly condemned today, Thursday, the attacks by the Houthi terrorist militias on a Saudi commercial ship in the Red Sea, saying that these attacks represent a serious escalation and a threat to the safety of international navigation.

The French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, in a statement issued by its spokesperson, confirmed Paris’s full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its regional partners, calling on the Houthi militias to immediately stop all military actions that threaten the security and stability of the region.

France confirmed its ongoing commitment to protecting navigation security and freedom of maritime movement in the Red Sea, by taking part in the European defense operation (ASPIDES) and coordinating with its international partners, to ensure the safety of international trade routes and the stability of sea lanes.
