ADEN - SABA
Governor of the Central Bank of Yemen Ahmed Ghaleb discussed with the new European Union Ambassador to Yemen, Patrick Simonet and his accompanying delegation enhancing prospects for bilateral cooperation in a way that serves common interests.
During the meeting, the governor reviewed the difficult economic conditions that Yemen is going through as a result of the sharp decline in resources after the cessation of oil and gas exports as a result of the terrorist Houthi militias attacking oil facilities, in addition to the decline in official and humanitarian international aid and its negative repercussions on the living and service lives of citizens in all governorates of the Republic, including those under the control of the terrorist Houthi militias.
For his part, the European Union Ambassador stressed that he will make every effort to strengthen relations between the EU countries and Yemen and mobilize as much technical and humanitarian support as possible to help the Republic of Yemen overcome difficult and exceptional situations.
