CAIRO - SABA
Yemen's Acting Permanent Representative to the Arab League Dr. Ali Musa presided over an emergency meeting convened by the Arab League at the level of permanent delegates today.
The conference discussed the Israeli Knesset's latest bill which aims to ban activities of the UN agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA) in the occupied Palestinian territories. It focused on coming up with a unified Arab response to the “dangerous and illegal laws” passed by the Knesset.
Ambassador Musa expressed Yemen's strong condemnation of the Israeli entity's adoption of laws that prohibit the UNRWA from practicing its humanitarian work, as arbitrary acts that undermine the principles and laws of humanitarian action and of extremely dangerous humanitarian consequences.
