Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi and his deputies Aidaroos al-Zubaidi and Othman Mujalli took part in the opening of the 79th United Nations General Assembly which began in New York today.
The Leadership Council's chairman will later on Thursday deliver the Yemen's remarks to the UN session and will address the latest developments in the country, and the Council and government's perspective concerning the opportunities for achieving a lasting and comprehensive peace based on the terms of references agreed upon nationally, regionally and internationally.
The Yemeni delegation to the event includes the country's Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Permanent Representative to the United Nations, and the Ambassador to the United States.
