Deputy Governor of Taiz Dr. Abdulqawi al-Mikhlafi met Monday with the Director of the Office of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) mission in Aden Mahmoud Salah discussing with him the committee's interventions in various sectors in the governorate.
Al-Mikhlafi emphasized the importance of continuing the cooperation and support provided by the Red Cross and the need to increase support for water, health, and education services, and other sectors, stressing the local authority's keenness to continue cooperation and coordination with the committee's mission and to overcome all difficulties.
He praised the tangible interventions of the International Committee of the Red Cross mission on the ground in the humanitarian and other service aspects, such as health, water, mine and bomb clearance, and support for the central reform.
For his part, the director of the office of the ICRC mission indicated that this meeting aims to enhance cooperation and coordination between the governorate's leadership and the mission in order to identify needs and priorities in providing humanitarian assistance and supporting some service sectors in the governorate.
He praised the level of coordination and cooperation between the mission and the local authority and the concerned entities and institutions in the governorate.
