Minister of Defense (Lt Gen) Mohsen al-Daeri met today, Sunday, In Aden with the Military Advisor of the UN Special Envoy to Yemen Antony Huard and his accompanying delegation.
The discussions dealt with the latest developments about the military situations amid the persistent attacks of the Iran-backed terrorist militias in several frontlines, most recent of all occurred yesterday in al-Abdiah front in Marib governorate, where the militiamen assault resulted in killing 6 soldiers and injured several more from al-Amaliqa brigades troops.
General al-Daeri blamed the terrorist Houthi militias for prolonging the conflict, worsening the humanitarian crisis the Yemeni people have been experiencing.
The Defense Minister squarely put the blame on the Iranian regime for the militias' military escalation and attacks on the commercial ships and shipping lanes in the Red Sea.
The UN Envoy Military Advisor stated that the UN is continuing to exert the efforts to contain the military escalation and bring the Yemeni parties to the negotiations in order to reach a road map to produce permanent peace in Yemen.
