His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Muhammad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, departed today, Friday, from the interim capital, Aden, heading to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to hold consultations with regional and international actors regarding the latest developments in the local situation, particularly the recent events in the eastern governorates.

Planning Minister seeks American support for telecomm sector

Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Acting-Minister of Telecoms and Information Technology Dr. Wa'id Badhib held discussions today, Tuesday, with American Ambassador to the Republic of Yemen Steven Fagin over bilateral collaboration between the two countries.

Dr. Badhib's conversations with Mr. Fagin covered topics relating to the efforts aiming to achieve economic stability and development in Yemen, the endeavors to mobilize the required resources to support development drive and to build capacities of the telecom and Information technology.

Dr. Badhib highlighted the need for further American support for telecom and information technology sector to improve its services.

Director General of the General Corporation for the Wires and Wireless Telecoms Eng. Wa'el Tarmoom engaged in the discussions.
