Presidential Leadership Council discusses peace efforts developments, economic situations

The Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) held session today, Saturday, presided over by His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the PLC with the presence of its members Aidarous al-Zubaidi, Abdurhman al-Mahrami, Dr. Abdullah al-Alimi, Othman Mujalli and Faraj al-Bahssani, while the two members Sultan al-Erada and Tariq Saleh were absent for justified excuses.

The session devoted to discuss topical issues nationally and regionally on top of all the developments of the meditation led by the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to establish cease-fire and resume an inclusive political process guided by the UN.

The discussions also covered the national economy indicators, national currency exchange rates and basic commodity prices and the potential implications of the Israeli aggression on the occupied Palestinian territories on the security and stability of the region and the international peace and security.

The PLC reiterated its full support for the Saudi good offices to renew the truce, alleviate the Yemeni people's suffering and launch a comprehensive political process that ensures restoring the state's institutions, security, stability and development in the country.

The meeting approved a number of procedures to accelerate the matrix of the economic, financial and services reforms and to enhance the government's measures to improve the public revenues and mitigate the continuous ramifications of the Houthi militias' terrorist attacks on the oil facilities and threats to the international maritime navigation and international trade shipping lines.
