Yemeni Chargé d'Affaires in Damascus, Mohammed Ba'akr, met with the Director of the Expatriate Affairs Department at the Syrian Foreign Ministry, Mohammed Ahmed Abdel Salam, to discuss enhancing bilateral cooperation in consular fields related to expatriate affairs. They also reviewed the situation of expatriates in both countries and ways to address challenges they face.
Ba'akr highlighted the deep historical ties between the two nations and appreciated the Syrian government's facilitation for Yemeni nationals. Abdel Salam thanked Yemen for its care of the Syrian community despite current circumstances and pledged to enhance services and simplify procedures for Yemeni residents, visitors, and students.
