Jawf Governor calls international organizations to evaluate situations of displaced people

Governor of Jawf General Hussein al-Awadhi has called upon international relief organizations to swiftly visit liberated areas in the province and form joint team with concerned offices to evaluate situations of the displaced people and provide assistances to alleviate their suffering over displacement.

In his meeting with Deputy Coordinator of the Humanitarian Affaires in Yemen Digo Zaweela on Thursday, General al-Awadhi confirmed readiness of the local authority to facilitate safe access to the liberated provinces in the province to inspect needs of displaced people and providing assistances.

He called upon the international organizations to provide assistances to the displaced people from Jawf, especially those affected by waves of storms and heavy rains hit their camps on August.

For his part, the UN official confirmed that he will focus his attention with his working team during the forthcoming period on evaluating situations of the displaced people of the province and working on helping them.
