Aden - Saba
Defense Minister Lieutenant General Muhsin Muhammad al-Daari discussed today in the interim capital Aden with a delegation from the Washington D.C.-based National Democratic Institute coordinating efforts and strengthening cooperation in combating terrorism and extremism.
The delegation was headed by Leslie Campbell the institute's Regional Director for Middle East and North Africa.
Minister of Defense praised what the Democratic Institute for the Development of Democracy in Yemen had previously presented, stressing the need for democratic countries to support the Yemenis in restoring the state and the republic and the return of the democratic system, noting that the terrorist Houthi militia claims the divine right to rule and wants to impose it on the people by force.
The Minister of Defense said, "We are waging a war against an enemy that threatens everyone, and you are the first to leave Yemen unwillingly because of the war imposed by the Houthi terrorist group with Iranian support and planning, cooperation and coordination with the terrorist organizations ISIS and al-Qaeda, not only to target Yemen and its stability, but also to threaten the region and the world, and that was clearly demonstrated by targeting global energy supplies and threatening international shipping lanes, which exposes global vital interests to imminent dangers, if this terrorist group is not deterred.
