Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Ahmed BinMubarak held discussions today, Tuesday, here with the Special Envoy of the UN Secretary General to Yemen Hans Grundberg on the latest developments in our country.
They elaborately discussed the outcomes of the efforts have been made by Mr. Grundberg to renew the UN-brokered truce amid Houthi militias' intransigence and rejection to all offers and proposals to extend and expand the truce.
BinMubarak blamed Iran-backed Houthi militias for rejecting all suggestions to extend and broaden the truce even though the significant concessions by the government in order to allay the Yemeni peoples' suffering.
The UN's envoy cited the efforts he has been doing to make the negotiations about renewing the truce successful.
Mr. Grundberg reiterated his commitment to keep on his efforts, doing utmost to renew the truce and move forward to revive the peace process.
