Minister of Water and Environment, Engineer Tawfiq Al-Sharjabi, opened a consultative workshop for the "Improving Water and Irrigation Management in Tuban Valley" project in Aden.

The workshop was organized by the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Fisheries.

Al-Sharjabi emphasized the project's significance in transitioning from emergency response to sustainable development, highlighting its potential to improve water management and irrigation practices in the Tuban Valley.

He noted that the project is part of a series of development interventions funded by the International Development Association (IDA) and implemented in partnership with local stakeholders.

The workshop provided an opportunity for stakeholders to share their perspectives and expertise, with the goal of developing a clear vision and practical outcomes to guide the project's implementation
