Minister of Transport Mohsen al-Amri discussed Tuesday with the Aviation Security Program Director in Yemen at the U.S. based Valar company Louay Ishaq the procedures being followed to implement the project for developing the civil aviation security system at the General Authority of Civil Aviation and Aden International Airport.
The meeting addressed a number of technical topics related to the procedures for approving the National Civil Aviation Security Program, in cooperation with Valar, as part of efforts aimed at modernizing the security system in Yemeni airports and aligning it with international standards.
It also included discussions on specialized training and qualification programs for aviation security personnel, contributing to improving performance efficiency and enhancing security readiness.
The Minister of Transport emphasized the importance of accelerating the completion of necessary preparations for the Civil Aviation Security Training Center building at Aden International Airport, affiliated with the Authority in order to inaugurate it.
He affirmed the provision of all necessary facilitation to ensure the success of this vital project, which represents a qualitative leap in building institutional capacity and developing the skills of national personnel working in the field of aviation security.
