The UK Ambassador to Yemen Abda Sharif has the horrific attack by Houthi militias on the commercial ship 'Magic Seas' increases the risk of an environmental disaster and threatens the passage of essential goods and humanitarian aid to Yemen.
"The shocking attack on the ship not only endangered the lives of innocent crew members but also caused damage to another vessel in the Red Sea," said Sharif in a twit on her X account.
She pointed out that the Houthi militia leadership has failed to respect freedom of navigation in the Red Sea, leading to ongoing economic devastation and undermining Yemen's stability and the well-being of its people.
