His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership council (PLC) sent a cable of congratulation to His Excellency President Vladimir Putin on his inauguration as a President of the Russian Federation.

President al-Alimi expressed his own and the PLC's members' and the Yemeni government's sincere congratulations and best wishes to President Putin, wishing him all the best in his mission, further progress and prosperity for the government of the friendly Russian Federation and people, more development for the Yemeni-Russian relations.

The Chairman of the PLC highly praised the Russian supportive stance in support of the Yemeni people, its internationally recognized government and political leadership.
