The Deputy Governor of Marib, Dr. Abd Rabbo Miftah met separately in his office today the Regional Director in Yemen for the International Committee of the Red Cross and the Country Programs Director in Yemen for the Handicap International France.

Miftah discussed with ICRC official the humanitarian partnership between the local authority and the International Committee of the Red Cross and the strengthening of the humanitarian committee's interventions in the governorate, in the areas of health, water and environmental sanitation, agriculture, food and shelter, and training and rehabilitation.

The ICRC official explained that her visit to the governorate aims to evaluate the projects and interventions of the International Committee of the Red Cross during the current year and to see the humanitarian situation and needs.. stressing that the International Committee of the Red Cross places the governorate of Marib and the humanitarian situation in the forefront of its concerns, and that despite the reduction in international funding, the committee has not reduced the volume of its interventions and it will continue to be a penny ceiling.

In the meeting with the Handicap Organization International France, Miftah welcomed the humanitarian partnership with the organization, which decided to include the province in its humanitarian intervention plans.

Miftah listened to an explanation from the organization's country program manager, who explained the visit, which aims to build a humanitarian partnership with the local authority and to search for opportunities for needs for the organization's interventions and to open an office for it in the governorate.
