Parliament Speaker Sheikh Sultan al-Barakani discussed Thursday with US Ambassador to Yemen Stephen Fagen latest developments in Yemen.
The meeting touched upon economic situation and developments in peace process with Houthi militia, including Houthi siege on Taiz, which the militia rejects to open roads to Taiz City and end the seven-year siege on the people of Taiz.
For his part, the US diplomat expressed regret over incidents on the ground, renewing his country's support to peace choice and to Yemen's unity, security and stability.
He pointed out that Yemen represents a stability foundation for the region and international water routes.
