Parliament continues its sessions in Aden, debates over state's general budget plan

The House of Representatives has continued its sessions today in the temporary capital Aden presided over by the Speaker Sultan al-Barakani.
Today's session devoted to discuss the financial statement about the state's general budget proposals of the fiscal year 2022.
The Minister of Finance Salim bin Boreik provided a detailed financial statement about state's general budget plan.
The financial statement noted that total amount of the public revenues of the state's general budget of the fiscal year 2022 estimated at 3 trillion and 243 billion Yemeni RIal (YR). meanwhile the total amount of the expenditures estimated at 3 trillion and 645 billion (YR). accordingly, the total amount of deficit is estimated at 401 billion (YR).
Following elaborate deliberations the Parliament has approved to refer the state's general budget proposal to a house-committee consisted of the heads of the parliamentary blocs, chairmen of the house-subcommittees and the specialized financial committee to study the plan and report about to the Parliament.
The lawmakers also approved the general budget of the House of Representatives for 2020-2022.
