RIYADH-SABA
The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Afrah al-Zouba, met today, Sunday, with the Saudi Foreign Minister, His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan.

They conferred over bilateral relations, Yemeni-Saudi strategic partnership and ways to deal with the ongoing challenges.
The two ministers underscored the importance of further promoting cooperation to serve the two countries interests and contribute to the region’s stability and development.

The Foreign Minister expressed Yemen’s gratitude—by its leadership, government and people—to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for its supportive stances in support of Yemen, highly appreciating its pivotal role in supporting the Yemeni state and people politically, economically, and developmentally.

Al-Zouba greatly valued the facilities and care provided by the Kingdom to Yemeni expatriates, who are an important support for the national economy and a major source of support for millions of families.

The talks also covered institutional cooperation between the two ministries to benefit from Saudi diplomatic experience in training and qualifying Yemeni diplomatic staff and building their capabilities.

The meeting also touched on the recent escalation by the Houthi terrorist militias and its repercussions on Yemen, Saudi Arabia, and the region.

The Foreign Minister reiterated Yemen's rejection and condemnation of the Houthi terrorist attacks targeting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its civil and economic facilities.

She stressed that Yemen will not accept turning its lands or maritime passages into a launching ground to threaten the Kingdom, neighboring countries, or international navigation.

The Saudi Foreign Minister affirmed the Kingdom's firm stance in supporting the Presidential Leadership Council, the government and the Yemeni people as well as Yemen's security, stability, unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity.
