Health Minister, European Commission delegation discuss support for health sector

Minister of Public Health and Population, Dr. Qassem Beheibeh discussed with a visiting European Commission delegation in the temporary capital Aden today the joint cooperation and ways to support the health sector.

The meeting reviewed humanitarian interventions in our country in the nutrition and health sectors, the possibilities of future interventions in the health sector, and ways to develop and enhance areas of joint action.

The Minister expressed his hope that this year will witness an improvement in the support provided to Yemen's health sector, in a way that will enable it to overcome challenges pointing out that the ministry is on the cusp of implementing a health immunization campaign against polio.

He called on all international organizations to exert pressure on the Houthi militia to allow the implementation of various rounds of vaccinations.
