ADEN - SABA
Prime Minister Dr. Ma'een Abdulmalik ordered authorities in charge to step up efforts to increase the urgently needed humanitarian interventions to help the Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) who fled their origin regions for their lives due to Houthi militias' military operations and attacks.
As he chaired a meeting today in the temporary capital Aden with leadership of the Executive Unit of IDP Camps Management (EUIDCPM) he called on the UN's agencies and international organizations to sustain the government's efforts to provide the new IDPs with the urgently needed aids.
The ECUIDPCM reported that it has received recently 93 thousands new IDPs in Marib and 20 thousands in Hodeidah.
The Prime Minister put the onus on the UN and the International Community (IC) to mount pressures upon Houthi militias to stop its continuing attacks against the civilians and IDPs in Marib and Hoeidah governorates with different heavy weapons including ballistic missiles and drones.
He also demanded greater role by the UN and IC in propping up the government's efforts to meet the increasingly growing needs of the new waves of the IDPs.
