Ambassador of the Republic of Yemen to Moscow Dr. Ahmed al-Wuhayshi met today with Deputy Director of Middle East and North Africa in the Russian Foreign Ministry Macksim Macksimov.

Aspects of bilateral relations between the two countries was a key point of the conversations.

Latest developments in Yemen amid Houthi militia current military operations on Marib including using ballistic missiles and drones against civilians were touched upon.

Al-Wuhayshi bucked Iranian regime over involvement in the Yemeni conflict for protracting the war, worsening the humanitarian crisis.

The Russian official confirmed his country's support for Yemen's unity, security and stability, reiterating Russia's backing for the UN-led peace efforts.
