Minister of Foreign Affaires and Expatriates Dr. Afrah al-Zouba discussed with Kuwaiti Ambassador to Yemen Falah Al-Mutairi bilateral relations, developments in Yemen and ways to strengthen political, humanitarian, and development cooperation.
Al-Zouba praised Kuwait’s longstanding support for Yemen, particularly its humanitarian and development contributions in education, healthcare, and infrastructure.
She also welcomed Kuwait’s continued support for Yemen’s constitutional legitimacy and government, including its stated commitment to Yemen’s unity, sovereignty, independence, territorial integrity, and relevant UN Security Council resolutions, particularly Resolution 2216.
The meeting also addressed Yemen’s worsening humanitarian situation and the UN growing needs of displaced and affected families, especially women and children.
Al-Zouba highlighted Kuwait’s humanitarian assistance in supporting basic services and relief efforts.
The Kuwaiti ambassador reaffirmed Kuwait’s support for Yemen and its government, and its commitment to continued political, humanitarian, and development assistance aimed at easing the suffering of Yemenis and supporting security and stability.
Both sides stressed the importance of continued coordination and consultation between the two countries.
