The funding agencies represented in the Yemeni Gulf Technical Committee meeting have agreed to fulfill Yemen's request to finance the urgently needed projects in the electricity, water and health sectors.
It was also agreed during the virtual meeting to set a date for holding sectorial meetings between donors, ministries and technical bodies in Yemen to discuss reallocation and support urgent priority sectors, especially the energy, water and sanitation sectors.
In the meeting, which included the Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Dr. Waed Badheib, the Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Awaisheq, and the Director of International Relations at the Bahraini Ministry of Finance Firas Al Khalifa, discussions focused the progress of the implementation of projects funded by the GCC countries that are currently being implemented and ways to resume the stalled projects and re-allocate others and identify Yemen's development needs according to the requirements of this stage.
