U.S. Embassy: UN inspection of ships in Yemen does not mean they are safe from U.S. sanctions
The U.S. Embassy in Yemen has stated that the inspection of any vessel by the United Nations Verification and Inspection Mechanism in Yemen (UNVIM) does not mean that it is safe from U.S. sanctions, especially those ships, entities and individuals providing material support to the Houthis.

Interior Ministry participates in annual meeting for Interpol

Ministry of Interior has participated in the 16th Annual Meeting of Interpol National Central Offices, which is being held in the period July 6-8, 2021 with participation of 197 countries.

Participated by General Manager of International Cooperation and International Criminal Police Office at the Ministry of Interior General Abdulkhaleq al-Selwi, the meeting discussed situations of Interpol's office in the world and past years' achievements.

The meeting also discussed boosting international police cooperation for enhancing their role in fighting terrorism and organized crime.

Al-Selwi confirmed in Yemen's speech he delivered in the meeting that Yemen faces many challenges among them terrorism and organized crime and human smuggling, especially under current conditions Yemen is going through.

He stressed significance of international community's support to Yemen to face these problems.
