Minister of Water and Environment Tawfeeq al-Sharjabi discussed Monday with the Director of the Office for Coordinating Humanitarian Affairs in Yemen (OCHA) Sajjad Mohammad Sajed boosting cooperation for implementing humanitarian response plan and possible transfer of the organization's activities from relief into developmental.
The meeting touched upon expanding the organization's interventions in the country.
Al-Sharjabi confirmed keenness of the ministry on providing facilitations to international organizations to implement their activities in Yemen.
For his part, the UN official confirmed that OCHA is one of the Yemeni government's partners and working with the ministry of water provides significant developmental resource.
He also confirmed the organization's support to the ministry for implementing the humanitarian response plan.
