RIYADH-SABA
Speaker of Parliament Sultan al-Brakani met on Thursday with the Charged' Affairs of the US embassy in our country Kathy Westeli.

The conversations touched upon the underway efforts have been made by the Saudi leadership to put Riyadh Agreement in place.

Al-Brakani stated that arrangements have already made about all necessary steps to implement the articles relating to the military and security part of the agreement.

" Military and security articles will be fully implemented within few days ahead", said al-Brakani.

The Speaker of Parliament blamed Houthi militia for opting for violence, bloodshed instead of peace. He stated that the militia has continued to refuse to renounce violence, stop bloodshed, rejecting to react positively to the UN envoy's peace proposal to make peace based on the three terms of reference.

For her own part, the US diplomat reiterated her country's full support for the Saudi leadership's efforts and steps taken about Riyadh Agreement.

She also stated that the US is supporting the announcement presented by the UN envoy Martin Griffiths.

Kathy briefed al-Brakani on the outcomes of the consultations of the ambassadors of the quartet about the overall situations in Yemen. She affirmed that the USA is standing with the legitimacy in Yemen, supporting Yemen's unity, security, stability, sovereignty and republican regime.
