Al-Eryani Condemns killing five children in Houthi bomb explosion in Taiz
Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism Muammar al-Eryani strongly condemned the horrific crime committed by the Iranian-backed Houthi terrorist militia, which resulted in the death of five children and injury to others in the al-Arsoom area of the al-Hashmah region in the al-Taziah district, northeast of Taiz Governorate over the explosion of a locally-made explosive device.

UNFPA to open office in Marib

Marib Local Authority has received formal application from the United Nations Population Fund for opening a branch in the province for boosting partnership in humanitarian work with the local authority for quick response.

Deputy Governor of Marib Abd-Rabbu Miftah discussed Tuesday with a team from the fund headed by Humanitarian Response Officer Andrea Biradi humanitarian needs by the displaced people and hosting community in the province.

The meeting touched upon humanitarian partnership between the local authority and the fund for possible response and humanitarian increasing needs for the increasingly numbers of displaced people in Marib, which received recently 4500 displaced families from al-Khaneq Camp in Nihm District, Sana'a Province after targeted by Houthi militia.

Miftah confirmed that the local authority will provide all necessary facilitations to the fund and all other humanitarian organizations wanting to open offices in the province.

For his part, the UN official said that his visit to the province aims at making preparations for opening an office to the UNFPA and studies possible interventions in health and livelihood domains.
