The Kuwaiti Fund for Arab Economic Development signed Thursday a Grant Agreement with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) worth $1.2 million to contribute to the rehabilitation and maintenance of homes for displaced persons in Yemen.

Fatah calls on UNICEF and WHO to partner with local authorities to address cholera

The Chairman of the national Higher Committee for Relief Aid Abdurraqib Fatah called on the World Health Organization and the UNICEF to help combat the acute diarrhea epidemic in Yemen through financing and implementing intensive regular programs regular for waste removal and water chlorination, sanitation, hygiene and provision medicines.
He also called on the United Nations Humanitarian Coordinator Lisa Grande to coordinate with these organizations and local authorities to afford all necessary solutions to control the epidemic.
He stressed that the government is keen to implement such programs in all Yemen's provinces without exception, out of a sense of responsibility towards all its people in all parts of Yemen including the Houthi-held ones.
He reiterated the government's support for all international, regional and international organizations and agencies as they implement such projects.
