Deputy Prime Minister, the Minister of Interior Ahmad al-Maysary discussed with UNDP's Project Expert in Yemen WalidBahroon cooperation between local and international social and state agencies for providing services to society.

Al-Maysary valued UNDP's efforts in liberated provinces and in Yemen in general for providing service and development projects and reconstructing infrastructure damaged by Houthi war on the state.

He confirmed keenness of the government and ministry of interior on alleviating challenges and difficulties facing UNDP's staff in implementing service and development projects and improving living conditions of the people.

He pointed out that the ministry-like other institutions- has been affected by the war triggered by Iran-backed Houthi militia but efforts have been exerted for regaining the ministry's institutions and the ministry worked with social and local organizations and included them in security and police work for playing a national role for boosting security and stability.

For his part, the UNDP's official confirmed that the interior ministry is prime partner and pays central role in realizing UNDP's programs of realizing and deep rooting security and social stability, protecting human rights and for opening wider cooperation between the ministry and other social and state institutions.
