The Supreme Council of Energy (SCE) has approved a number of plans and alternatives to develop strategic solutions to improve the electricity services by using renewable energy and less cost fuels to generate electricity.

Deputy Governor of Socotra Raed al-Geraibi and Kuwaiti Red Crescent's delegation headed by Nabil Boftin launched on Tuesday the projects of solar energy and fishing boats to the people here.
Theydistributed 250 solar energy system units on villages and countryside of Socotra Archipelago and 20 fishing boats to fishermen affected by storms the province witnessed recently.
Al-Geraibi expressed thanks of local authority to the State of Kuwait for its support to people of Socotra.
