Yemen's Permanent Envoy to the United Nations (UN) Ambassador Abdullah Assa'di met on Thursday here with Regional Director of the UNICEF for Middle East and North Africa Geert Cappelaere.
Assa'di detailed Cappelaere on the difficult humanitarian situations the Yemeni peoples have been suffering as a result of the Houthi rebel militia's coup. He stated that the militia has continued to recruit children and send them to fight frontline battles.
For his part, Cappelaere the Yemeni government's cooperation with the UNICEF including signing action-plan and road map to eliminate the phenomenon of child recruitment in Houthi militia ranks.
