Chief of Staff, UNICEF sign roadmap for prevention of child soldier recruitment

The Chief of Staff Abdullah al-Nakh'ee and the representative of the UNICEF country team for children protection Abrahm El Sheikh signed a roadmap on the prevention of recruitment of child soldiers in the temporary capital Aden on Tuesday.
The Chief of Staff affirmed the government's commitment to ban child recruitment in the ranks of the armed forces. He said the government with support from the Arab Coalition's Saudi Arabia and UAE have rehabilitated a large number of ex-child fighters in the ranks of the Iran-affiliated Houthi militia.
The UNICEF official appreciated the Yemeni government's ban of child recruitments.
