The Presidential Leadership Council (PLC)held an extraordinary meeting chaired by His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, the Chairman of the Council, with the presence of all its members Sultan al-Aradah, Tariq Saleh, Abdulrahman al-Mahrami, Dr. Abdullah al-Alimi, Othman Majli, Mahmoud al-Subaihi and Salem Al-Khanbashi to discuss national and regional developments and the proposed policies to address them at all levels. The Prime Minister Dr. Shaya Zindani was in attendance.

Presidential Leadership Council holds meeting with local authorities, urges joining efforts, resources

The Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) held a meeting today, Wednesday, chaired by His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Council, in the presence of its members Sultan al-Aradah, Abdulrahman al-Mahrami, Dr. Abdullah al-Alimi, and via video conference Aidaroos al-Zubaidi, Tariq Saleh and Othman Mujjali.

The meeting included Prime Minister Salem bin Braik, Governor of the Central Bank Ahmed Ghalib and leaders of local authorities in the government-held governorates.

The meeting devoted to discuss the performance of the local authorities, economic and security situations as well as the basic services.

The PLC underscored the importance of integrating work among the components of the executive authority, enhancing the principles of governance and adhering to the laws regulating the management of public resources..

The governors reported about the situations of the basic services, living conditions and mechanisms for collecting public resources.

They also cited the security challenges due to the activity of the terrorist cells which collaborate with the terrorist Houthi militias to destabilize the security in the government-held regions.

The PLC restated that it is very important ro responsibly cooperate with international organizations, facilitate their humanitarian operations and provide the necessary protection for their teams and staff.
