Yemen participated in the 10th Ministerial Committee Meeting on Standardization in Kuwait, led by Minister of Industry and Trade, Mohammed Ashol.
The meeting discussed several key topics, including:
The committee adopted 14 Gulf technical regulations, converted 25 regulations into standard specifications, and withdrew 34 outdated regulations.
It also approved the budget for the Gulf Standardization Organization (GSO) for 2026 and updated the organization's structure and strategic plan for 2026-2030.
The decisions aim to develop the Gulf standardization system, enhance its efficiency, and support sustainable industrial development and regional trade.
Yemen's Director General of Standards and Quality Control, Engineer Hadid Al-Mas, attended the meeting alongside other GCC member states' representatives.
