Yemen's Non-resident Ambassador to Manila, Philippine, Dr Adel Bahomaid met Friday with Velipino undersecretary of Foreign Affairs for Middle East and Africa Lessli Bajan.

Bahomaid's conversations with Bajan focused on Yemeni-Filipino bilateral ties.

The Ambassador touched upon situations in Yemen and the repercussions of Iran-backed Houthi militia's coup d'état.

Bahomaid also explained the Yemeni government's rejection to extend the mission of the UN's team of experts after the team's biased report about human rights in Yemen.

The Filipino official reiterated his country's support for legitimate government of Yemen and the efforts aiming to maintain Yemen's security, stability and unity.
