The Supreme Council of Energy (SCE) has approved a number of plans and alternatives to develop strategic solutions to improve the electricity services by using renewable energy and less cost fuels to generate electricity.

Yemen's army shot down a Houthi drone plane in Hodeidah city west of the country.
The "made-in-Iran" drone was laden with explosives and was spying on the army sites, said a commander of one of the army's regiments, Abdurahman al-Lahji.
Yemen's army, backed by the Arab Coalition, has for days been engaged in clashes with the Houthi rebels and is now controlling the southern and eastern parts of the vital coastal city's airport in preparation for storming it and capturing the rest of it.
Houthi rebels have been exploiting Hodeidah seaport to raise revenues for their war, endanger international shipping and admit smuggled arms including ballistic missiles and drones.
